Feng Shui - stairs that lead to bedroom door?

I have a set of straight stairs in the living room that lead right up to my master bedroom. You can actually see right into my bedroom if the door is open from the living room. I hate it. There is no floor space to place a mirror or plant. I'm also wondering if the bed placement is wrong. The bed is facing the door. It's really the only place it will fit. you can actually see down the stairs into the living room if you are sitting up in bed and the door is open. I know, it's a nightmare. Any suggestions?
