How long does it take to learn to drive stick?

Everyone is different. It took me about 15 minutes to learn it. I drove one once somewhat poorly for about 15 minutes. Then bought a stickshift truck and drove away in it like I had been doing it for years, haven't looked back since. Another person I know has put probably a solid 100 hours into practice and still can't get it. And that's 100 hours actually behind the wheel.

I bought Bob's Red Mill High Fiber Hot Cereal and I thought it tasted terrible. There is a recipe on the back for High Fiber Scottish Oat Muffins that I am willing to try. One of the ingredients is 1/3 cup mashed banana. I'm not a big fan of the texture of banana bread. Can I just leave this out? Would I need to substitute anything, applesauce, oil, yogurt?

What should i do about the bunny in my grannies back yard?

HII so i just arrived at my greatgrandmas house yesterday. im visiting for a month. she told me that she just found bunneh in her yard. i was interested because i have a rabbit at my house where i live. i can't go around asking if it belongs to anyone because my granny lives in the ghetto and i will probably be killed. lol BUTT im pretty sure someone just released it into the neighborhood. i don't want to call animal control because they'll just put it down. i would keep it but i live all the way in korea and i can't bring it back. my great granny is too old to manage and train a pet bunny. is it just best to leave it in the yard? i've been feeding lettuce and carrot and banana. its a really cute bunny (albino) and i think that its about 4-5 months old. also i made it a cardboard house. the bunny is coming up to me and letting me pet it :) soo sweet. SOO today im going out to buy some bunneh food and ill just let it in the yard. do you think this is the best for the bunny to just live in her yard. also my grandma and grandpa live with my greatgranny so they feed it too. thanks so much!

Is This A Reasonable Loss?

I am trying to sell my condominium. As you may know, the housing market is down, and I have been attempting for about 3 years to sell my house (not continuously, but I have tried several times). I have had two agents, the first didn't do a good job, and the second is hyped up on some "feng shui" crap. lol, anyway both told me that if I would ever have hopes in selling my condo right now, I would have to lower the price by $15,000 less than what I bought it for, which would mean i have to pay $15,000 upfront because the price fell. Why do people put so much emphasis on IQ and intellect?

It annoys me so much there are so many different types of intelligence e.g. Creative, Emotional, and social. but people seem to think that a high IQ is the end all. I have a average IQ, yet i have grade 8 Piano, Grade 6 theory working for 8, and am good at composing, therefore I have a high creative intelligence, but no one seems to appreciate these skills in the same way as a high IQ, I mean is it really that great if you can solve a complex math formula, i cant but what I can do is write a chromatic fugue, write a concerto etc. My view is that music touches the the soul in a way that intellect can't and for that reason i wouldn't change myself in the slightest. A famous scientist when asked what would he show an alien race, he answered the complete works of Bach, Einstein himself said that creativity is more important than knowledge. Let me go bach to bach they predicted his IQ is 165 if think that is wrong, I think that his IQ was about 100 to 110, but his creative intelligence was very high, there is also some evidence that he may of been slightly autistic. But what I am trying to get at is why is there a Superiority around have a high IQ everybody is different and have different strengths and weaknesses, what do you guys think?

So i didnt, i knew i couldnt because you could get all your points taken away for that essay. To talk about nuclear weapons you have to talk about the U.S. or at least mention them so i did. WAS NOT the emphasis of my paper it was the whole world and the U.S. just happened to be envolved with many things about nuclear weapons. Sunday, I decided to take my mother and my oldest brother to Walmart. I knew that it was a bad idea for my brother to come because he does not like me and has always been jealous of me. So instead of taking his abuse I dropped him off at the bus stop. My mother decides to get out with him because she was mad at me for dropping him off at a bus stop she did not want him dropped off. I have multiple questions about my diet and the problems i've been having..(Please help)?

Okay so, for a long time now, i've been dieting and exercising along with it obviously. Btw im a 14 year old girl, and my height is 5'6... weight, ill get into that later..(you'll see). So now for my exercise, i recently started running the mile... i was starting with once a week, then i eventually started running it almost everyday(trying) with the weather being crappy, rain etc. , also my brother, was taking me to the high school track where i live and that kind of stopped between him working, not having time, and being busy most of the time. So that stopped so i started instead walking down to my school which is literally a 6 minute walk away and running around the field 4 times or either the school(got sick of the field so just recently started running the school) which is a mile cause i did in gym class. I think this whole week, ever since monday, i've ran it everyday. i don't even know how to tell you my weigh and if its water or fat, it sucks! im either 157, 162,163,164,or 165. i was 163 last night, started out with 162 this morning, and now im 165! Ever since february, my doctor's appointment, i was 168, and i haven't seen that weight in a while so i think ive lost that.. i was told that i was not fat, but basically overweight for my age. I started cutting back little by little at that time, and it was hard for me so i stopped,(which i REALLY wish i didn't have) and started eating again, however somehow maintaining that weight(i forget howw) then it got easier in march, i figured out more ways, obviously april, and may... and i forget when but like i said i started running the mile little by little and now. So, my question is losing weight.. like more than 10.. but i actually think i know why this hasn't been going well is because the main reason, my dieting. It's been HORRIBLE and sooo hard for me. Between these awful cravings(my mom thinks im a sugar addict) and not being able to control it whatso ever. and the fact that i haven't been losing any weight, as much as i want to in this amount of time that im starting to give up then start up back again which is taking me incredibly soooo much amount of time than what i want it to. the beginning of today was going good for me, i was thinking about running the mile twice, but im soo tired and i just recently got a pain on the top of my leg, bottom, and it feels like a bruise and hurts running... there always has to be some freaking problem making it even HAAARDER for me! ugh! sorry.. the end of today though, not so good. i skipped dinner, thinking i would lose more, but it ended up backfiring me from being sooo hungry for the rest of the night. i did eat watermelon and a banana for dinner. but so farr ive aten 2 yogurts, two ice cream sandwhiches, ice cream, chips, i think maybe even a little bit more but yeah.... :( then i got really mad and started doing pushups and everything. i weighted myself, i was back at 165 and i totally gave up and started eating more but now, its stopped as i speak. My plan was to lose like all the extra fat off of me, so i could be skinny or thin again like 15-20 pounds before atleast summer, then it extended to 4th of july so i could be able to enjoy the food and wear nice clothing and look good and feel confident but now, 4th of july is just around the corner(3 days) and i have a party im attending and its not going to go well unless you could just magically lose 20 pounds in 3 days... maybe even just 10.... also, forget to mention, but my mom did say she has noticed a bloatyness i had on my face off and i look a bit less bloaty kind of that small layer of fat off if you know what i mean.... i dont get how that can happen when i was 168, 3 pounds more(well, depends if im still 165, never know with me i could go back down or whatever ugh) but that i dont get.. soooo.... Is my dad under a spell?

Everything started a long time ago, probably a year or two. My dad started having many financial problems and unexainable health issues. Its been a long time since we haven't have spare money to spend and we are in debt with many people who try to help us by loaning money. Right now we are on a $25 budget for the whole week. I try to believe that it is a logical and explainable event and that many families have financial problems as well. However, my dad has been having aergic reactions when he is touched by my mom or me. For instance, when my dad got home from work today my mom hugged him and he automatically developed a bunch of tiny bumbs on his skin. It made him extremely itchy, but this is an everyday thing now. He has been having serious leg pains but the doctor couldn't find nothing. I tried to keep myself skeptical of all these events, but today it was creepy. My dad suddenly felt really nauceous and threw up a strange thing. He said it had the shape of a small banana and that it was opaque yellow almost light brown or gray. I'm not sure what's going on, I'm a strong believer of spells and magic, but I'm very skeptical with this. I do believe he is being harmed, but the feeling that it is his fault of our situation is much stronger than my belief. I did however had a sudden urge to do a spiritual cleanse a couple of days ago and i think that is what is causing him to throw up "The Evil". I can go on and on about all of the strange events that are happening. My dad believes that is one of his girl friends from a looooong time ago that still holds a grudge against him because he chose my mom instead of her and her life is not going well. Half of the issues that these "community leaders" endorse could be solved by placing more of an emphasis on personal responsibility. I hate it when people say successful black or part black people need to "share the wealth to uplift the community" or be labled a sellout or self hater. Someblack people call me a sellout because I don't support every black artist, politician or athlete. People question me constantly because I am more conservative and I disagree with 90% of the things Obama has put forward I like to avoid any conversations on politics because of this. Anytime I am out with my male friend(who is white) people ask if I am a "self hater" or why I am dating a white man. I am tired of this type of garbage, most of these people preach anti racism, yet drag race into every single conversation. I have a set of straight stairs in the living room that lead right up to my master bedroom. You can actually see right into my bedroom if the door is open from the living room. I hate it. Taking Doxycycline after surgical abortion?

I had a surgical abortion 2 days ago and they gave me doxycycline tablets to take for 10 days with a meal. The label says "Take twice daily. For best results do not take with antacids or iron"...I had 1 yesterday when I got up with my usual breakfast cereal (that I just realized today contains iron), a banana and coffee (with milk) and the 2nd tablet later with two slices of pizza, a salad and pepsi. Today I found out that you're not supposed to take doxycycline with iron, calcium, antacids, dairy products, or laxatives within 2 hours before or after. Really confused here cause almost everything I eat has some amount of iron or calcium in it. Does it mean supplements or any food containing these with decrease the effect of the doxycycline? What kind of foods are okay to eat with it? I don't want to get an infection :(

I take whey protein shakes 2 times a day after each workout I blend it and put half a banana in it. I do this 2 times a day and in between I'll have a grilled cheese sandwich. Question about bad Feng Shui?

I know that a mirror facing a bed is very bad for feng shui, however, does this refer to the mirror facing the bed in general or only if when you are lying in bed, you can see yourself in the mirror? When I'm laying in bed, you can't see my reflection but if I sit up, you can. Is this just as bad? HELP!!! GOT A SUNBURN AND IT LITERALLY BURNS!!!?

So i put on spray banana boat sunscreen on my face and it stung and burned my face so bad. so i ran inside and washed it off then put on sun-pro sunscreen which did not sting or burn my face. all was well :) then my mom told me and my friends to reapply the sunscreen and i took a banana boat sunscreen face stick and it started to sting and burn my face again!!! it hurt bad but i sucked it up for 5 min till i could jump in the pool. after the pool, it still stung but not as bad so i took a shower. i used my facwash which also made my faceburn. then i came out and i have a sunburn and but on some more sun-pro sunscreen and it burned but only for a minute. not to long. i am not sure why it is burning because it still is burning!! is it because i have a sunburn on my face now?!?! or what!! it all started after i put on the spray sun screen!! ouch it hurt so bad!!!!!! and i really want to get rid of this burning feeling!! would alo work?? what would?!?!

There is this new student who has been attending my university last year. He came from Zimbabwe and can’t speak/ fully understand English properly. Ever since his been attending the university, his been getting verbally abused racially by a group of white females and most of the time he cannot fully understand what they are saying. One day he opened his bag in class and these bunch of banana skins fell out and everyone in class started laughing but him. Diet help please, 135 pound female?

During winter break I tried an orange diet for a week and dropped from 148 to 135. I'm usually 115 - 120 but I gained tons of weight when I started birth control and I think also because I was eating unhealthy food living in the dorms since I didn't have a car first semester and ate what they sold on campus. I've been trying to lose the weight since jan. I'm 5'5, I'm 20 years old and I currently weigh 135. I do workout everyday for an hour and a half and for breakfast I eat a 1/2 cup of cherrios with 1% milk, for lunch I have light yogurt (110 cal) with 3 cut up strawberries and a banana cut up and for dinner I usually have a sandwich with swiss cheese (90 cal), wheat bread, a little light mayo, onions, and turkey. I was thinking of trying a carrot diet for a week, would it work as well as my orange diet?? And don't say this is unhealthy please I ate only oranges but I also took multivitamins, fiber, and protein for that week. To give you a look on my metabolism: I urinate probably 15 times a day and I do the other thing around 4 to 5 times a day. Advice please? Oh and the ten pounds I lost during winter break I know it wasn't just muscle cause I lost inches and looked skinnier in general.

Breakfast I usually eat a banana or a small bowl of cereal at 8 am. I eat lunch at 12-12:30, and it's usually a veggie burger, or a salad or a lot of strawberries and grapes. Would boxing complement Shotokan karate?

Moonlighting in another style would be very good for you. It seems like your school is very traditional and almost reminds me of an Aikido school in the way of, "less sparring, more technique". Personally I think that's a bad way to train because it makes you get the wrong feel about fighting. If you're doing it for a hobby then its no big deal, but if you want to compete than its a good idea to look up something else. I've studied Shotokan Karate a bit, just to learn about it, and I've found its a decent style. It still has the "old school" mentality you find in some styles but its overall not bad. Though if you're going through lax training, maybe you should look for another school that has a similar style that you can get more sparring and competitive training in. After all, you can practice a technique 100 times, but if you're not used to doing it against someone who's trying to hurt you in the process, you're not gonna be ready when the time comes to use it. Try looking for something like Taekwondo, Tang Soo Do, Kickboxing, or even just a different Karate school. This way your training wont go to waste and you'll be able to transition well.

My baby boy is 9 months old and i'm really struggling with finger food...?

we've tried everything i.e. bananas, wotsits, breadsticks, quavers, biscuits, rusks, gingernuts the whole 9 yards but he just doesn't seem to grasp that he needs to chew it. There are two doors coming into my bedroom. One goes through the bathroom and out another door into the living room. This is the path that is used into and out of the room. Modern Marriages: Has Society Outgrown the Need for Long Lasting Monogamy?

I've never been married, but I can answer for my parents. I'm 29 years old, and they have been married ever since I was born. They're still married. They met while they were in college. They each have been married once. They're in their fifties. My dad is 3 years older than my mom. She's 52, I think, and he's 55. They're baptist. Because of his job, dad can't attend church as offend as he would like. Mom attends church regularly, and teaches Sunday school as well. She's very familiar with the Bible and talks about religion all the time. She loves to say "The devil will push you up to do something and turn you in for listening." "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few." My parents have two children, me and my brother. He's 22. In the beginning of their marriage both my parents had a degree. My mom had a job, but it took my dad a while to find work. It wasn't until I was 17 that my parents became home owners. When I was 10 my mom went back to school to become a librarian because she would go on job interviews to be a teacher and there would be 10 other people interviewing for the same job. My parents are pretty sexually active. I guess they do it a couple times out of the year. My dad enjoys porn magazines and porn tapes. They communicate very well and have a dogged determination when it comes to getting what they want. It's kind of exhausting. My mom's communication level is 10, and my dad's is 8. What my dad lacks in communication he makes up for in being a very understanding person. Just because a person is good at running their mouth doesn't mean they're a good communicator. Mom's very selfish and manipulative when it comes to getting her way. Dad's emotionally elusive. I never know what he's up, to, but he's a very kind person. My dad fantasizes about being with the women in the porn magazines. Both my mom and dad would leave each other if a lucrative opportunity arose. Their love for one another isn't very deep. Mom spends all her time working, at the computer, or complaining. Dad spends all his time watching tv and I don't know what goes on in his head. Whatever mom says he goes along with or disagrees for the hell of it. The biggest stressors in the marriage are they're not compatible. They never do anything fun together. I've learned that marriage sucks and I'm not married and don't plan on getting married unless I'm approached with a lucrative offer. My mom said if she could do it over again, she would marry someone with more money. I'm not sure what goes on in dad's head. I think if they could change anything about their marriage they wouldn't be married at all.

My room is really messed up, Is it bad feng shui?

My bed is right beside a window and it has a small window behind it. I have alot of nightmares and I trip out alot ( only in my bedroom though) my closet is at the bottom of my bed and my door is beside it. My desk is beside my bed with the back to the door. the rest of my room is just a extra dresser and a basket for scarves. And my window view is of a school field. When reading your question I was thinking "this sounds great, nice and healthy...wait a minute...where's dinner???' There's a whole meal missing! I guarantee you are not getting sufficient nutrients or energy with this diet. Continue with this but add in a dinner thats high in protein (beans/pulses/eggs) with a good source of complex carbohydrates (brown rice/wholemeal pasta etc) and you will be ok.

I have a first degree burn on my face (from a sunburn), will it scar?

The same thing happened to me about 10 years ago. Unfortuately, you will have some minor scars from it. The area under my eyes and across my ch!!eeks look like burnt turkey skin and it has left my skin looking very aged. I would definitely start with the Bacitracin and then use bio-oil after the peeling of the skin has occurred. I would also make an urgent appointment with a dermatologist to assess the damage and get him or her to prescribe something to help with the damage now. Good luck.

I've been very good about taking my tampons out on time, but I left my last one in for about 6 hours, which isn't THAT bad. Before taking it out, my hands/arms and legs were shaking, and I felt slight nausea. When I took it out, I was better, just a tiny bit nauseous. I ate a banana to raise my blood pressure and I feel normal. Now, I have a slight headache/dizziness and a need to burp often, but it may just be sleepiness since it's close to 11 PM now. Does this sound like a healthy dinner?

So I'm on a diet and I'm trying to decide what to eat for dinner. I guess I'm just more trying to eat healthy and watch portion size then be on an actual diet. I normally eat 1,500 calories a day and I try to burn off 500 every day which should result in a 1 pound weight loss every week. For breakfast today I had a smoothie that I made myself with 1 banana and 1 cup of vanilla soy milk accompanied by a tray of ice which was about 200 calories and for lunch I had a peanut butter sandwhich on wheat bread with an ear of sweet corn and a cup of apple sauce. That all adds up to around 710 calories so if I want to stick with eating around 1,500 then I guess i have a lot of calories for dinner tonight. I was thinking I piece of grilled chicken which is about 120 calories an ear of corn which is about 80 calories and a plain baked potatoe which I've heard a hundred things about that they have 160 calories and that they have 300 calories and that they are healthy and that they are horrible so I don't know if I should eat it or not.

There's nothing wrong with being an introvert! I consider myself to be one. Introversion doesn't mean that somebody is necessarily shy or socially awkward like some think, one can be extroverted and shy as well. All introversion means is that you enjoy spending time by yourself and build up energy that way. Extroversion means you constantly feel the need to be around people, though that doesn't necessarily mean you have good social skills. So for me, being introverted means that even though I definitely like spending time with close friends and meeting new people, there are many times where I would just rather be by myself and think things to myself. But I've been to lots of job interviews and consider myself a decent interviewee, seeing as I got the first job I interviewed for both this summer and last. You being nervous has nothing to do with introversion and is something that can be easily worked on.

My hubby will be returning soon from his deployment. He is currently a Private First Class but he is hoping that he will soon be eligible for promotion. My father and grandfather (one of my grandfathers!!) were in the military. They both served prior to getting married so their experience might be different from my husbands. Both of them lived in barracks on base. Sometimes they tell stories about their experiences but what I've gathered from hearing them is that both lived with many other men and had a bunk bed lined up with the beds of other soldiers. My husband and I and our daughter want to live together on or near his base while he reports every morning for military duty (except Saturday and Sunday and Federal Holidays lol lol!!). What generally is the process? Also would I be eligible for child care? I'd like to register for classes at a nearby universities. Do military bases have universities nearby? Can I get a discount rate for classes? Do I have to pay out of state tuition? I am a Mathematics Major and finished a lot of the requirements for an Associate of Science (two year degree). I'd like to major in Applied Math with an emphasis on Statistical Analysis. Can I do that while my husband is serving in the capacity as a Private First Class or hopefully Specialist 4?
