Question about bad Feng Shui?

I know that a mirror facing a bed is very bad for feng shui, however, does this refer to the mirror facing the bed in general or only if when you are lying in bed, you can see yourself in the mirror? When I'm laying in bed, you can't see my reflection but if I sit up, you can. Is this just as bad? I'm currently covering the mirror with a cloth before I go to bed at night since the mirror is attached to a dresser that I can't move. This should kind of fix this problem, right?
