Where to put bed in room?

Its hard to gauge just by reading. But i like to put the bed away from the door. If you have the middle of a wall, such as the west wall put it there, but i think you said the chimney is there. If you bed doesn't have a back rest or a big one at least, I'd place it's head under the window. However I don't know the size of your bed and if your willing to have a side cut off (put it in a corner)
